The following is a service bulletin and information for both Boss dealers and customers in regards to the 2019 model year GM 1500 undercarriage as well as the headlight adapter as associated with your Boss snow plow. The following information are required changes and updates to the overall installation of your Boss plow mount to your 2019 GM 1500 vehicle. You’ll also find important changes and updates to the headlight adapter found on the vehicle-side of your plow installation on your 2019-Up GM 1500 truck.

Boss Plow 2019+ GM 1500 Undercarriage Updates and Changes

Some truck frames contain variances in vehicle tow hook mounting location on the driver side only. Prior to installation of the driver side Pushbeam Support Side Plate (p/n LTA11230-03) a 9/16”diameter hole may need to be drilled on the inside cradle of the weldment as shown in the image to your right in order to secure the OEM tow hook. Check tow hook mounting bolt locations prior to installation. All subsequent undercarriages supplied by BOSS now include holes in both locations.

Boss Plow 2019+ GM 1500 Headlight Adapter Updates and Changes

Certain GM 1500 trim packages have exhibited issues with turn signals when using BOSS headlight adapter MSC15375, which includes an integrated turn signal relay. To remedy this issue, please replace the relay with a fuse, as shown in the below Turn Signal Relay Replacement Instructions. All subsequent MSC15375 headlight adapters supplied by BOSS will come pre-wired in this configuration.

Remove Relay #4 – Turn Signal Relay (Violet Wires)

Remove Violet wire and cavity plug as shown (Note: it may be necessary to use a paper clip or small screw driver to remove the terminal)
Insert Violet wire and cavity plug as shown.
