Its 6 in. auger with 3/8 in. flighting provides steady material flow. An auger screen is included to help break up clumps and prevent jams, and a three-point hinged bottom cover allows easy access to the entire auger assembly and hassle-free cleaning. Independent motors power the two 18 in. poly spinners.

A SaltDogg Hydraulic Under Tailgate Spreader spreader is built to last. The spreader is constructed of high quality, 10 Ga 304 stainless steel construction for the ultimate in durability and corrosion resistance. The spreader is equipped with a 6 in. auger with 3/8 in. flighting and comes with an auger screen and a hydraulic safety lockout system. The spreader runs a direct-coupled, hydraulic drive system for both the auger and the spinner. It features a sealed, self-aligning 1-1/4 in. diameter bearing with grease fittings, and low-speed, high-torque orbital motors.
The spreader also features an anti-flow plate and 3/16 in. stainless steel endplates. An extended endplate model is also available. A three-point hinged bottom cover allows easy access to the entire auger assembly for hassle-free cleanout. In addition, its 18 in. poly spinner can cast material up to 40 ft, using a center or left discharge.
