Western To Donate Western Wideout Snow Plow

Western Plows has announced that on June 25-26, in Schaumburg, IL, they will be raffling off a military themed Western Wideout Snow Plow. The Raffle will be held at the SIMA Snow and Ice Symposium and all proceeds will benefit the non-profit arm of the American Verterans Traveling Tribute (AVTT). It is events like this that separate Western Plows from the rest and hold true to taking care of their customers whether they are fortune to be using their equipment here in the great United States of America, or fighting for our freedom to use these great products overseas in battle zones such as Afghanistan and Iraq. MILWAUKEE (June 2, 2015) – Western Products, manufacturer of WESTERN^® snow removal and ice control equipment, is donating a military-themed Western WIDEOUT snowplow in support of the non-profit arm of the American Veterans Traveling Tribute (AVTT).AVTT is a nationally recognized, veteran-owned and -operated business that specializes in supporting the recognition and remembrance of fallen service members by assisting with travel to war memorials and providing scholarships to veterans’ family members. The raffle will be held on June 26 at the 2015 Snow and Ice Management Association (SIMA) Snow and Ice Symposium in Schaumburg, IL. 100 percent of the raffle proceeds donated to the AVTT go directly to veterans and their families.“Supporting an organization such as the AVTT is an honor for Western Products,” said Patrick Dietz, Western Products Vice President of Marketing. “The raffle is an excellent opportunity for us to continue to support our veterans and their families. We look forward to the success stories and assistance this donation will help create.”The one-of-a-kind Western WIDEOUT snowplow was designed in tandem with Rich Arlington & Associates, a leading industry consultant. Rich Arlington, who has also been a snow contractor since the 1980’s, served in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) from 1983-1987. The design commemorates each of the five branches of the U.S. Military and their veterans. PPG Industrial Coatings donated the paint for the project and ICAFE, Inc. donated the custom paint job which can be seen in the photo on this page on the Western Wideout.

“Seeing projects like this come together is truly inspiring,” said LTC Don Allen, U.S. Army (Ret.), a member of AVTT. “Supporting our veterans is an important cause. These donations will give them and their families the opportunity to pay respect to fallen service members and help pave a bright educational path for their children.”

SIMA, a nonprofit professional trade association for snow and ice management, donated booth #118 for the raffle event. Tickets prices are $5 each or $20 for a set of five, and can be purchased by calling 866-454-0948 Mondays – Fridays between 9:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. EST from June 1 – June 22. Tickets can also be purchased in person on the trade show floor at the SIMA convention on June 25-26. Drawing for the winner will be held on June 26 at noon. Attendance is not required to win the Western Wideout Snowplow.
