Western Technical Service Bulletin – For GM Trucks with GB3/H11 Halogen Headlights

IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ IMMEDIATELY

2015 and newer GM trucks with HB3/H11 Halogen headlight type may experience a delay on 38800 plow lights when switching between high and low beam.

Western Products has identified an issue with 2015 and newer GM trucks with HB3/H11 Halogen headlights when Soft-Start is required. We’ve found that some users were experiencing a delay when switching between high and low beam with the plow connected using the new 38800 headlights.

Corrective Action:
In order to eliminate the delay on the 38800 plow side headlights when switching between high and low beam, you will need to remove the installed 29861-3 Vehicle Lighting Harness and install a 69793 Vehicle Lighting Harness 11 Pin w/ Relays. Should you have a plow that is exhibiting this issue, please make corrective action above to resolve.
