The Western Prodigy Snow Plow is perfect for those professionals that want more out of their snow plows with a scoop feature which is automatically controlled based on the weight and the force applied on the blade by the snow. The 29½” tall, 12-gauge powder coated steel moldboard features a patented mechanical wing design that delivers a plowing path of 8′ 7″ in scoop mode and 9′ 8″ with both wings pinned back straight. The 70-degree attack angle ensures a clean scrape with every pass and a high carbon steel cutting edge comes standard, reducing wear and extending the life of the blade.

Western Prodigy Snow Plow Multi-Position Winged Plow
Easy to operate like a straight blade, but with all of the power of a Western Wideout!
The Western PRODIGY snow plow features an ingenious patented mechanical wing design that automatically positions its wings to deliver maximum plowing efficiency. Whether in straight-ahead scoop mode or angled for windrowing, it delivers multi-position winged plow productivity in a plow that’s as easy to operate as a straight blade. It’s available for trucks or skid-steer loaders.
Western Prodigy Snow Plow Moldboard Features Mechanical Wings
The 12-gauge steel moldboard is 29½” high and features an ingenious patented mechanical wing design that automatically positions its wings to deliver maximum plowing efficiency.
Western Prodigy Snow Plow Trip Blade and Wing Protection
Trip blade protection is provided by four heavy-duty coil trip springs, which absorb shock to protect your snow plow and vehicle when striking hidden obstacles. An optional shock absorber is also available.
Wing protection is provided by the coil compression springs and cable assembly, which helps absorb shock when striking objects, and automatically returns the wings to their scoop position.
Western Prodigy Snow Plow Wings Position Automatically
When you change the plowing angle, the Western PRODIGY snow plow wings automatically to transform the most efficient plowing configuration.
When positioned for straight-ahead plowing, both wings default to an 8’ 7” wide scoop position for maximum snow carrying capacity and stacking.
As the blade angles, a heavy-duty coil compression spring and cable assembly pulls the trailing wing back in line with the moldboard, while the leading wing remains angled forward to direct snow into the moldboard. Fully angled, you’ll windrow a full 7’ 10” swath with virtually no spill-off.
For back-dragging, wings can quickly and easily be mechanically pinned into a 9’ 8” straight-blade configuration.
Western Prodigy Snow Plow Reinforced Blade Structure
Eight vertical ribs and the exclusive WESTERN POWER BAR provide added reinforcement across the entire back of the plow blade to provide exceptional torsional strength and rigidity.
UltraMount 2 Snowplow Mounting System
The UltraMount 2 system is designed for fast and easy installation and removal using a simple mechanical system. It features a robust one-piece design and is 100% compatible with UltraMount system mounts and electrical platforms.
Chain Lift System
The mechanical chain lift system offers a variety of performance and reliability advantages over a hydraulic system. The chain lift system creates instantaneous “float” when lowering the blade, enabling it to freely follow the contours of the plowing surface for a cleaner scrape. With the simple mechanical chain lift design, there are fewer hydraulic and electrical components to worry about, so you can count on long life dependability.
FLEET FLEX Electrical System
The FLEET FLEX electrical system provides true fleet interchangeability. The same CabCommand hand-held or joystick control can operate the following UltraMount® and UltraMount® 2 mounted plows on any truck at any time. Additional features found on FLEET FLEX snow plows are programmable “soft-stop”, “one-touch” float, and SECURITY GUARD™ anti-theft system.
SECURITY GUARD Anti-Theft System
The exclusive WESTERN® SECURITY GUARD snow plow anti-theft system is a safe and secure way to electronically lock your snow plow when it is detached from your truck. Unlike physical locks that can easily be cut or removed, the system provides a deterrent against theft by allowing you to electronically lock the snow plow’s hydraulic functions, rendering your plow inoperable to unauthorized users. Control Options
Choose between a CabCommand hand-held control with push buttons or a joystick control, based on operator preference. For efficient, precise and intuitive blade control while plowing, both controls feature power “on” and “float” LED lights, backlighting for night operation, and plug-in connector for easy removal.
Isolation Module
This advanced snow plow light and electrical system features improved electrical pins in the harness for trouble-free connections. An underhood module improves system life and complies with OEM requirements. No toggle switch needed to change from vehicle to plow lights.
NIGHTHAWK Halogen Headlamps
The all-new NIGHTHAWK™ dual-halogen headlamps, standard on all WESTERN® truck plows, now feature separate cavities for the low-beam and high-beam lamps. With reflectors designed specifically for each mode, the low and high beams perform better than ever before. The low-beam pattern is now 17% brighter and 6% wider. This puts more light down immediately in front of the plow when you’re pushing.
ULTRAFINISH™ Baked-On Powder Coat
The ULTRAFINISH™ baked on powder coat with epoxy primer is standard on all WESTERN® plows, providing outstanding protection against wear and rust. Each WESTERN plow goes through an automated eight-wheel shot blaster pre-treatment process and multi-stage pre-wash to prepare the plow surface for optimum coating adhesion. After that a durable epoxy primer is applied to improve corrosion resistance and enhance powder coat adhesion. The powder coat is then applied with robotic guns that ensure precise, consistent powder coat coverage. The final baking process seals the long-lasting hard-as-nails WESTERN red coat. The result is a state-of-the-industry finish that will provide superior protection for your plow, season after season.
