I’m like most people and want a deal. With age hopefully we all become wiser. What I have learned more than once that most of the time cheaper is not better and actually more costly. Most people do not realize that most of the big online snow plow parts retailers are non authorized Boss and Western dealers. They are selling aftermarket parts in copied packaging. We get calls all the time to match pricing because so and so has it online for this price. We will not compete with aftermarket pricing. The reason for this is because quite simply those aftermarket parts are not the same quality as OEM.

Try getting warranty on a aftermarket parts. Wont happen.

Boss and Western replacement parts come with a 1 year limited warranty.

Go ahead and buy a aftermarket solenoid or one from the parts store that the guy tells you is for a snow plow but just looks different. You could soon fry some wiring which would end up taking out your motor… I’ve seen this happen.

Is it worth it just to save a few bucks?

If it’s a bolt, pin, nut go for it!
