The Baffle attachment allows your Western Pro-Flo 525 and 900 tailgate spreader to provide a better overall flow control to the auger and improved agitation of material as it approaches the auger system.  All new Pro Flo spreaders from Western will ship with this new baffle kit installed. The overall benefits of the new baffle system help control the material flow to the auger as well as reduce the load on the auger when using a dense material such as sand or the sand/salt mixes.  As a result, free flowing material such as salt may not require the installation of the baffle.

Most tailgate spreaders come equipped with a single electric motor, but the Western Pro Flo series tailgate spreaders come equipped with two instant-start, 12-volt electric motors. Material Delivery With Transverse Auger

The material delivery system on the Western Pro Flo tailgate spreaders are delivered by a heavy-duty, powder coated, horizontal steel auger in order to provide a long-lasting, reliable performance. When your auger is met with an obstruction such as bulked up salt, the transverse auger delivery system can reduce downtime by automatically backing itself in and out until the obstruction is cleared or a required adjustment as been made.
