This is How You Transport Your Boss Plow if a Breakdown Prevents Lifting

There is nothing worse than breaking down when out plowing and not having a way of fixing it on the fly. Throw in the inability to lift the plow or keep the plow off the ground and you have even more problems. This is how you should

  1. Using Boss Ratchet Strap MSC08855 or equivalent*, route the strap under the lower end of the lift cylinder, then up and over the lift tube on the coupler. DO NOT attach to the light bar.
  2. Route loose end of strap into the ratchet slot, and pull tight. CAUTION: Be sure ratchet strap is clear of hoses, fittings, and electrical wiring before tightening or damage could occur.
  3. Tighten the ratchet strap until the plow is off the ground. WARNING: DO NOT stand in front of plow blade when tightening ratchet strap. Stand behind blade next to coupler. Keep feet clear of blade at all times. * Strap must have a minimum Working Load Limit of 3335 lbs (1515 kgs)
